When you leave your home, do you lock your cats up?

    We always let my cat just roam. She never got into trouble or destroyed anything so there would be no reason to lock her up for hours on end.

    Mine stay out where ever. I have no reason to not let them continue on as they would any other day.

    I understand why some people have to keep their dogs limited to a single room when they're away because they could destroy the entire house. Cats don't normally do that, though.

    I always ask my sister or neighbor to come and make sure they have enough food and water, and spend some time with them. I think cats must feel abandon if their owner are gone for too long. They will then have a little comfort while their owners are gone, which should leave them feeling more secure.
