when to let a cat outside

    i need help with a cat i have aquired,he came to me at 15weeks old,he is now 20weeks.he was let to run wild in his last home,we have kept him in,so he didn't wonder off,he his now microchipped and is going to be neutered,when he is the right age,but he is ,so desperate to go out,he crys at the door,i just don't know what to do,am i being cruel not letting him out,he his a loverly cat,loves to play,and climb,he has spotted the trees in the garden,so help what do i do with him

    Do you trust him outside? I guess that is up to you. Only you can answer that. My four cats are all farm cats and were use to being outside so it is silly of me not to keep them out. Maybe you could have him be a cat that stays in most of the time and yet still gets to go out. Up to you completelty.
