That's funny. That kid was totally spooked by the cat popping out from under the bed suddenly. When I was really little, I was afraid of the under the bed monster and I probably would have courageously wet myself and run away if my childhood cat did this. I hope the little guy didn't bump his head too bad when he fell out of the bed.

That must've hurt! I'm just hopping the cat was declawed...
Kitty claws to the face never feels good. Paws to the face without claws can hurt, even.

The cat doesn't look full grown yet, so I'm betting that even if they intend to de-claw it, it hasn't been done yet. That kid probably got a face full of claws....or at least on the sides of his head as he grabbed out like that.

Wow, that would be scary for both parties! The cat was probably feeling trapped under the bed and then the boy got whopped in the face by the cat! I would be traumatized as a kid if that happened to me. I hated the open space under my bed, but then to be attacked from here would be like a nightmare come to life. Hopefully both of them are okay and it didn't damage their relationship.:)

Hahah! That kid never saw it coming! My guys love to hide under the bed, sometimes I will just be walking past the bed, and all of a sudden a little arm will pop out and swipe at my foot as I go past. I'll look down, and theres no one there, then I flip up the bed skirt, and theirs a cat sitting pressed flat to the ground with big wide eyes!

I'm not sure who got more of a fright - the kid or the cat! Hope they were both ok!

Here's another one where the kitty attacks out of no where. The camera man so deserved it, too:
