Well this cat has some serious issues with their owner using a cellphone.

Has your cat ever acted like this so you would pay attention to them? Would you ignore the cat or stop texting to pet it?

Haha. That kitty really, really wants attention now, huh?

I would stop texting to mess with that cat if it were a rare thing. If s/he always does it, though, then I might be tempted to ignore it.

I'd say this cat needs to be on the passenger seat of those who can't stop text messaging while driving.

    Sure seems that way! :p
I agree with you, if it's a rare thing it's cute so why not stop, but if it's typical then I'd just ignore it or move away.

That's a really good idea! :D They should make a commercial about not texting while driving and it could feature this cat. Best Superbowl commercial of the year!

Of course we'd take a cut! :) For having the idea, of course, not for the actual work.

I'm not really that into texting, so I would probably put the phone down and pay attention to the cat. Texting is overrated, I prefer voice calls anyway.
I wonder if the cat in the GIF was actually craving attention or was there a video of a dog on the phone?

I play games more than text, but it's always cute when they want attention!
Ooooo, that's a good reason, what if there was a dog? Or another cat making lots of noise? It could have been a bird tweeting and the cat wanted to catch it!

Sibyl will lay on my keyboard or get in between me and my phone if she thinks I'd rather pet her, but never this dramatically! If she did this to me she would be in some serious trouble, then she'd be getting absolutely no pets!

It's a good thing she behaves herself! She sounds like she might have a jealous streak, or her wanting pets just coincides with you being busy. She should continue to behave herself if she wants to continue receiving pets.:)
