My kitten was not eating right and suddenly became very lethargic. I took my cat to the vet on Friday and she had a temperature of 105 degrees. They gave her a shot of antibiotics and I have been giving her pills at home.

Her energy level seemed to be gradually increasing over the weekend. This morning she had more energy and was eating some. She is definitely not 100% yet but seems to be feeling better.

I called the vet for a follow-up and they want me to take her temperature. Can anyone tell be what the procedure is for that?

Also what kind of thermometer should I be using. Is a pediatric thermometer OK or is a special cat thermometer needed?
