    ...the balloon wasn't coming back.

When I first saw this, I don't know why it made me laugh so much.

Awe, that's adorable. the fact that he could stay up is amazing.
I wonder how long it was until it popped.

So cute. I have yet to introduce my two to balloons. I feel the results would be pretty disastrous!

If by "disastrous," you really mean "hilarious," then yes, you're right! Hehe. Some cats love them and some hate them, but regardless, the fun only lasts so long. Then either the balloon pops or they lose interest.

It's actually not that bad. It's quite funny, to be honest.
There is a slight mess, depending on how they popped it, after the balloon is popped, but nothing too harsh.
I've never had a cat try to mess with the broken balloon though, like the leftover pieces.

I was tempted to try, but my little guys are so easily startled I would worry about a heart attack!

Definitely. Between the noise and the action, they can definitely get startled. =/

I've never tried it because we have a blind cat that is scared of loud noises. If the balloon would suddenly pop it would surely spook him much more than the other cats and he wouldn't be able to see the balloon being popped, so he would stay scared longer as he doesn't know that it will not happen again.

I'm tempted to try this too! I haven't given my cats balloons yet, but they did go to town with my exercise ball. They jumped on it while I was sleeping and they popped it. I haven't bought a new one and don't plan to because I'm sure they'll just want to hop on it again.

That's funny, love how he's just standing up with his paws all stretched out. He looks like he's in the position to catch a football. I have a cat that likes balloons too, but when they pop she's out of here.
