Is clumping litter bad for cats?

    Does anyone use clumping litter? Is it bad for cats? I have heard that it is and I do not want to keep using it if it is. I would much rather go through the extra litter then to have clumping stuff hurt my cats. They say it can get caught in the intestine and swell? Is this correct?
