My name is Aida and I'm the mother of a super sweet, loving, personable cat named Cricket. I got to know Cricket while I was fostering kittens for the local Humane Society. A terrible person had thrown Cricket and his brothers and sisters into a garbage dumpster! Sadly, Cricket was the only survivor. He came to me when he was only a week or so old and I fed him with a dropper every two hours, 24 hours a day while pulling a full load of college classes! We bonded over the next several weeks and soon I knew I couldn't be parted from him. He has become my very best friend and my savior. I lost my beloved fiancé to a brief and completely unexpected illness in January of 2016. If not for Cricket I don't know what would have become of me?! I was so devastated that I didn't think I could go on. But from the first day I got home from the hospital, Cricket has not left my side. He sleeps with me every night and plants himself in my lap whenever I sit still. I love him more than anything and want him to be healthy & happy. The main reason I joined this forum is to get advice on cat health and care. I'm excited to jump in and begin talking to and learning from other members!
