I was thinking of growing some fresh catnip in the yard for my cats. They both love it when we buy the dried herbs for them.

Has anyone grown there own ? Do cats react differently to the fresh catnip verses the dried herb ?

Its easy to grow. But be warned its like addictive crack for cats! Youll just have to wait and see I dont want to spoil the surprise.

I haven't ever had fresh. We just buy the dried kind and it works fine for them. I don't know if there's much difference to the fresh other than them wanting to eat it straight out of the garden or container I'd be trying to grow it in.

I stopped at petco and picked up two little pots of catnip they had there. It was right near the register like you mentioned.

They loved it but they pretty much demolished them. :p
