Embedding a video

I am trying to embed a video from my facebook page but it keeps telling me that it is unable to embed this URL. It is a public video on my page so why can't I get it to work?

It should work, so long as it is public, but it would help if we can actually see it to test.

Well for starters, you can't use HTML code on a forum. Generally you would just take the direct link given and put it into the "media" section/code here (it's the button next to the "insert picture" one).

I tried pulling out just this url: http://www.facebook.com/v/3895769273156 but it doesn't want to accept that as a file that can be embedded either. You may be better off simply posting the url here and letting people click.

Jessi is right, as facebook uses HTML code you cannot embed the videos on forums. However the link works fine

If you wanted to share videos on forums then the easiest way is to upload them to YouTube and embed them from there (or just post a link).
