There is no way my kitty would even consider touching that cold, white stuff, and she certainly wouldn't play in it at all!

It's only snowed once in my city in my lifetime and so luckily my cats don't have to worry about snow. The one day it did snow, last year my cat stayed indoors where it was safe and warm. :) I don't think she'd want to touch or play in the snow, like that cat in the clip either.

My cats haven't had a chance to come across a lot of snow because they are not allowed outside (unless they fall off the balcony).
But Mitra liked snow on the balcony, white and wet - she likes wet so.. ;)
The snow on the videos is quite dry so it's not that bad for cats and it must be really fun for them :D I'd love to let Mitra out in such a deep snow one day :D

Is this what you call a snow cat?

My cats wouldn't think once about going out in the snow.
Last winter or the winter before, someone opened the door and Neko ran out.
She just stood still all wide eyed and scared when her paws hit snow (3 inches from the door)...
I felt so bad. I picked her up and cuddled her a little.

Epicfield, I guess it's mostly because she didn't know it. Maybe if she could go out whenever she wanted to, she would try again and liked the snow :) I really would like to try to let my Mitra out into a snow and see her reaction :D

I like Victor's picture of "snow cat" - it reminds me warm and sunny winter days with this dry snow and.... aaaah.. I almost forgot I don't like winter!

It depends on whether cats like wet or not. My cat loves the snow. She pounces in it and plays around.

It doesn't snow here in Miami, so I've never had the chance to find out. My cat doesn't mind light rain and will sit at an open window, watch the rain and get lightly rained on.
