This is the second time my cat has urinated in the carrier on the way to the vet (lesson learned- he will be in a kennel with a litter box like in the past when we moved). First time this happened we bathed him by dunking him into some soapy water and rinsing. He smelled fine after this. So, this time, we did the same thing and it isn’t working. He has been bathed, wiped down, and we have used dry shampoo on him. It’s faint now, but he still smells like urine. He is healthy and doesn’t normally have this smell. My only guess is that his urine was stronger this time because it was in the morning? Does anyone know how to get the smell off him? I don’t want to bathe him with anything besides cat friendly shampoo. Thanks!

I found an odor eliminating dry shampoo. The situation has been fixed.
