    Dear forum members,
I bought an approx one year old previously owned British blue for a friend. She loves him to bits. He seems to have settled into her small flat quite well and seems to be quite content. He likes to sit on the balcony in the sun, or on the windowsill watching the birds. He is quite happy and seems to enjoy her grooming him, and will snuggle up on the sofa next to her. He is shy with strangers, and when he approaches to stroking distance he will suddenly turn and present his rear and then walk off. However,, If you do get to stroke him he will accept it quite happily but then attack suddenly quite viciously for no apparent reason. He nips at her ankles but not too hard, is this for food or attention?, and sometimes he meows quite softly. What can be done about the attacking? His previous owner had small children and my friend wonders that maybe they may have mistreated him? Thanks, Johnnyboy
