Basking in the glow

    You would think our hot Texas summers would send our cat indoors to enjoy the AC. He has a thick coat and you would think he would get hot. Yesterday is was 103. Instead, he spends 90% of his time laying around on the west porch! A hot location, also very still.Not much breeze at all there. Can't figure this out.

    For some reason cats seem to love to lay in the sun. They could lay there and sleep for hours. I never understood it either because you would think that they would be hot which those heavy fur coats. I often try to get my cats to come lay in front of the fan but they don't seem to like it. They are content taking in the sun!
