I just bought a brand new cute persian
kitten and bought an excellent book to
take care of it. Go to Amazon Kindle and search
for "How To Care For Your Cute Kitten"

One my cats has Persian in her. The one thing you find out about Persians is they can be picky eaters. My vet warned me of this, and He was right. Angel will love a certain food, but go to give it again, she turn her nose up to it. Congrats on the new baby, they are so cute.

Congratulations on getting the new Persian. Persians are not the easiest to look after. Not that they are fussy. They are just so delicate. And die so easily.

Congratulations! I'm sure it will give hours of fun and pleasure. I once had to take care of my sister's Persian while she was out of town. It was the sweetest thing. I didn't want to give it up when she came home. LOL

Just curious. How much did you pay for your Persian? In Thailand, we can get flat-faced Persians for about 100usd. In Malaysia, even the ones with pointed faces, which are valueless in Thailand, would cost in the region of 300usd each.

There's no doubt that Persians are very beautiful. Just look at these:

Demanding is putting it mildly. I have seen Persians which that the main function of human beings is to pamper it. My friend had one that wouldn't give birth until my friend sat there beside her basket while she did it.

Sounds like you can buy Persians for practically nothing in Asia lol! Here in the USA a Persian doll face 16 week old kitten- obviously totally litterbox perfect very affectionate and trained for nail cutting the scratcher post and weaned … goes for $2500 at least . I’ve never sold one under 2000. I don’t often vaccinate because they immediately usually take them to a vet to test for flv ringworm etc and then they get vaccinated again which knocks them out . So I just learned the hard way to leave new pet parents alone. They LIKE taking care of the little one - the only thing I ask is no declawing. But a lot of them do it anyway and I feel SO sorry for those unfortunate helpless kittens .

It is true that a pregnant Persian prefers to give birth in your bed . Consider it a great honor to be that trusted .

One of the best traits I think they have is self-regulating births . They don’t multiply and multiply. My girls COULD go into heat three times per year but in fact only do it once every two years which keeps them very healthy allows for very strong healthy kittens and gives the parents happy lives . They LOVE running around outside being free just being beloved all day long caressed pets . Babies are not ( thank God ) constantly on their minds .

Interestingly enough my Persians ( and kittens I’ve sold to happy loving homes over the years ) have been incredibly long lived and pretty much vet bill free .

So the initial investment in good breeding stock, smooth silky low maintenance or mostly self maintaining coats , zero diseases ( I guarantee my kittens to be totally disease free or I pay the vet bill - this is an on paper legally binding signed contract) no ringworm and excellent long- term affectionate teaching by Mom ( and they do also get in the sunshine and fresh air initially in a kitten tent then supervised by Mom and me even in the grass which they LOVE . Here they learn to reliably come when they’re called , not to hide or run away and get to feel very confident strong and secure .

Interestingly enough my stud male is my closest cat - he’s such a mush he actually prefers to lie in my bed with me or on the couch over going outside. He’s never even THOUGHT of marking - he’s perfect with the ( clean) litter boxes and the scratching post - there is not the slightest bit of shredding on my slipcovers though all my cats have front and back ( but regularly clipped ) claws . Incidentally PETSMART has a great padded top forty dollar end table scratching post with three different wrapped posts on the base . The cats love it and best yet it’s apartment sized and doubles as a great small end or drinks table for your couch or recliner .

I just keep the girls inside during mating season - when they get extra affectionate and start rolling and meowing it’s time to stay inside . In the City it’s not an issue because we live in a cats- only safe building and my three are the buildings only indoor- outdoor cats - so basically no one goes to the country during January or May-June . So far so good ! But any lady cat in heat will jump out a second floor window or rip your screens open - and their rich in - heat scent and calling does attract ALL the cats to the yard lol. So be careful! :)

I do sell my underfoot raised show quality kittens for five thousand dollars. They are ABSOLUTELY worth every penny. They’re beautiful but lively playful and can be absolutely trusted in the house even in a cradle . I have so many pictures of these little SOFT n WARMs keeping babies happy. They allow pulling tails ears they totally allow it just being totally sweet. They love their people. When the kids play with them with a toy they go crazy but it’s ALWAYS love .
