    Hi,

I thought I read somewhere that catnip will last longer and stay fresher (more fragrant) if one keeps it in the refrigerator. Has anyone else ever heard that? I have a big container of catnip which I do keep in the fridge. I wonder sometimes if it really makes a difference. Thanks!

I haven't heard of this, but I do keep it in an air tight container to keep it fresh. I just don't put it in damp areas and store it in a cool place. My cats can get enough of it!

It more than likely does. It's an herb and other herbs stay fresher if you keep them in an airtight container and refrigerated. You could potentially freeze it, too.
