lol these are funny and so typical of a cat's way of thinking.
They do make you shake your head sometimes. Seems that
they can outsmart you everything. Life is never dull when you have
    kitties to love.

It's funny, my in laws cat is the most antisocial cat I've ever meet, but he definitely likes to get petted on that same spot (last bit of the back) also on the sides f his rear legs! He loves it, but he likes to be pet in that area in a very specific way, he likes my father in law to give him some soft spanks D: It's so funny! For some reason that cat doesn't like people to rub their hands on his coat. Cats can be so funny :p

Yes cats can be very funny in their ways. They like things a certain way and they aren't about to bend for anybody. If they don't like something they
are always quick to let you know. They are so cute!

Yeah, they definitely do. Their cat is nothing like mine though, mine rarely bites, but their does often once he gets tired and want the petting session over :) It's lovely how each cat has its own personality.

I got to do the tummy thing with Twinkle when I came home and he greeted me at the door and rolled over for me to rub the stomach. It was heavenly. Two of my dogs do the same thing but Twinkle's roll over was immediate and somehow different.

@Anne Twinkle was with no doubt a really special boy, not many cats show submission to their owners like that, let alone expose their bellies. What a sweet boy he must have been! It sounds like he was so sweet and docile.

The petting chart is mostly true for two of my three. My male cat LOVES having his belly rubbed. He will stretch out to his full length and lay there with his arms and paws over his head and his legs spread wide apart for a belly rub. It is adorable!
