Adopt a Shelter Pet Day

    Hi catlovers,
    I just read on msn.com that today is Adopt a shelter pet Day. I just started thinking back on all the great cats we adopted from our local shelter. We don't always get a companion from a shelter--sometimes they just sort of show up in our lives and we can't say 'no'.

    The best reason to adopt a shelter cat (there are tons of great reasons!!) is that they appreciate you for saving them. Cats are just so smart that way. Anyway, Happy Adopt a Shelter Pet Day!

    Thanks, Kay :) I had no idea today was ''Adopt a shelter pet Day'' :) I have never rescued a cat from a shelter, simply because over here there aren't that many institutions dedicated to rescuing cats (more institutions interested in rescuing dogs tho).
